Zelenskyy agrees to 'partial ceasefire' deal in call with Trump

Trump also suggested giving the United States ownership of Ukraine’s electrical supply and nuclear power plants.

WASHINGTON (AN) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed in a call with U.S. President Trump to accept Russia’s offer for a mutual halt to "strikes on energy and other civilian infrastructure" as a step toward peace.

The deal provides for an immediate pause in strikes against energy infrastructure in Russia's war on Ukraine, where the U.N. humanitarian agency says 35% of the country's 35.8 million population are in need of aid.
